Magic: the Gathering Buying Policies
We Buy Most Magic Cards! Due to the volatile nature of the singles market, we no longer offer an online buy list - it was too difficult to keep up to date, and was more often misleading than useful. We are always happy to offer quotes on cards in person, and can buy cards any time the store is open.
We base our sell prices off of online rates from places like TCGPlayer or magiccards.info, and generally buy for around 50% of our sell price. We may offer more or less depending on the rarity of the card and how much we need it, but this is a reasonable way to estimate.
Rarer Cards: Rare or unusual cards like dual lands, chase foils, or sought-after foreign cards are difficult to price. We may be interested in them, but will not be able to price them over the counter; our dedicated buying staff need to price these cards. You can contact them at firstname.lastname@example.org to get a quote or make an appointment.
Large Collections: While we buy individual cards at all times, we can't guarantee staff time to look over a binder or other large collection of cards, particularly in the evening. If you'd rather we look through your collection of cards and price them, instead of deciding what you'd like to sell in advance, you should make an appointment by emailing email@example.com, or be prepared to wait if our staff needs to help other customers.
Bulk Prices: Pandemonium may buy bulk cards (large numbers of commons/uncommons or bad rares) based on our stock levels and budgeting. Feel free to call or email and ask if we are currently looking for bulk cards.
Payment Method: Pandemonium will give you your choice of cash or check for your cards. We no longer offer store credit as a choice of payment. There is no bonus or penalty for electing one payment type over another, but we may be unable to give cash based on cash stocks on hand and will not pay more than $150.00 cash per person per day - anything above that amount will be paid by check.
Questions and Comments: Contact firstname.lastname@example.org with questions, comments, or to make an appointment with a buyer.
